2. WHERE ARE WE?
Poplar Drive, off Rayleigh Road, Hutton
From Shenfield Railway Station head towards Billericay on Rayleigh Road (A129) Go through mini-roundabout at junction of Alexander Lane. At first set of traffic lights (approx. half-mile) turn left into Poplar Drive.
H.P.B.C. car park is immediately on the right next to the Lodge. ( Look for the H.P.B.C. sign)
From Sun Corner, Billericay head towards Shenfield on Rayleigh Road (A129).
Go through mini-roundabout at junction of Hanging Hill Lane. (approx. 3 miles)
At next set of traffic lights turn right into Poplar Drive. H.P.B.C. car park is immediately on the right next to the Lodge. (Look for the H.P.B.C. sign)
3. WHAT DO WE DO?
Friendly matches, Mens and Ladies leagues, Club Competitions, Club events and Social events. Winter indoor matches and social evenings.
4. WHEN DO THESE THINGS TAKE PLACE?
Outdoor season is from beginning of May until end of September.
Matches take place in the afternoon, in the evening and at weekends. Informal roll-ups can take place during session times, when there are spare rinks.
5. IF I JOIN, WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
Initially, bowls shoes (Approx £30 - £40) Grey trousers, white top with collar , white jumper or jacket.
Set of woods (Approx £150 but can usually be obtained second hand at a reduced cost). We do have a limited number of bowls sets for new bowlers to use for practice purposes.
6. IS THERE COACHING?
Yes - qualified coaches run regular coaching sessions throughout the season.
